Whether you’re sure that equity funding is the right financing vehicle for your company or you just want to get more information, here’s a workshop series that will give you some straight answers and help you prepare for equity investment.
Ben Franklin Venture Investment Forum, Gannon University Small Business Development Center and Erie Technology Incubator are cosponsoring a three-workshop series entitled Getting Ready for Equity. The three half-day sessions will discuss the following:
February 19
Understanding How Equity Funding Works – This session will explain how equity funding works, the expectations of investors, what makes a company an attractive investment and company valuation.
March 19
Pitching to Investors – In this session, you’ll learn how to approach investors, how to prepare your pitch and important do’s and don’ts when you make your presentation.
April 16
Legal and Structural Issues – During this session, you’ll learn how investments may be structured, planning for future investment rounds, implications for your capitalization table and common components of term sheets.
These sessions will be held at Erie Technology Incubator, 130 West 8th Street, Erie PA. The sessions begin with registration and breakfast at 8:30 AM and the workshops run from at 9:00 AM until noon. Jill Edwards, Executive Director of Ben Franklin Venture Investment Forum, will present the February and March sessions. David Jaffe of Fox Rothschild LLP will present the April session.
The cost for this workshop series is $125 for the three sessions. Should you be unable to attend all three sessions, the individual session cost is $50. To register, please fill out the form below.
