By Jim Martin / jim.martin@timesnews.comProducts made by AcousticSheep, a company based in Millcreek Township, made their debut on the QVC shopping channel on Feb. 21.
Wei-Shin Lai, M.D., who invented the wearable headphones along with her husband, Jason Wolfe, appeared on QVC to demonstrate the product and to share the company's story with customers.
"Debuting on QVC was something we all worked hard to achieve for many months," Lai said in a statement. "It was very exciting to share our product story with the QVC audience."
The company says Lai and her husband invented the product in 2007 when she was having difficulty sleeping at night and turned to headphones so she could listen to music. The product they developed is a set of headphones built into a headband.
The products will be available until March 21 at QVC.com.
Megan DeMarco, marketing manager for AcousticSheep, said the company is hoping to make another appearance on QVC.
